So as luck would have it our air conditioner broke on a very hot day (94 degrees and soggy). No problem for us when one of us is Macgyver. Apparently he was able to bypass the breaker and rewire it without one, until the next day when we could go get a new breaker ( a feat no service tech would have the guts to do... they might shock their little fingers). I swear you can't stump him!
Here he is in all his heroicness!
The old corroded breaker Rewiring A closer look at rewiring
Randy ready to help. Yay it works! Putting the lids back on.
Yikes! Please tell Tom not to do that again. Next time steal the breaker from something you can tolerate being off. Anyway, glad it didn't burn your house down. I used a bigger fuse than I should have in the old vette and ended up with some burn marks because the wire got too hot.
Could he seriously come and live with us for a while? How great to have a handy man! We've taken on a few small projects ourselves, but we've had bathroom and kitchen faucets in our garage for 4 months that need to be installed! One of these days we'll be brave (and have time) to attempt that project.
