Happy Birfday!

Happy Birthday Tomm! We celebrated the big day today... his birthday is actually tomarrow, but we thought we'd party a little early because tomarrow is a "work" day. We had soo much fun today! We went and looked at houses (we are currently in the market) and went to some of our favorite stores and looked at some cool stuff and had lunch at Chili's.

Here's me and Tomm sneakin a little kiss... XOXOXO
Of coarse there was cake and icecream! Tomm asked for a white cake this year and it was SO good, I usually just make chocolate stuff so it was fun to make something different.

Make a wish! (I wish she would stop taking my picture!)
Let's see that gorgeous smile!

Here's everyone trying to relax and watch a little cage fighting while Whitney is camera happy (notice someone's little shiny eyes peeking over from the couch, just above Tomm's head).

Where there is wrapping paper and ribbon there is also our two little darlings... Randy and Purrl! hee hee

Fun at the zoo!

Last week Tomm's mom was here visiting us. We had so much fun together! We went to the zoo one day and here are pics of some of the animals we saw.

Flashy!

So I'm loving the fact that Tomm makes purses for recreational sport! This is the newest addition to my collection. LOVE it!
.... you may notice the purses have customized handles... this one has the "naughty/nice" touch to it. The sweet pearls on the inside and then some red tulle wrapped around them for a touch of sassy. I try to take a detail from each album or character and add it in the handle to give it a little more fun.

The sunshine state

We had a nice time at the pool the other day! Our friends have a beautiful house with a pool. So they had us over and it was so nice to go relax in the sunshine for awhile.... while wearing sunscreen of coarse (Natalie).... I was anyway. Tomm refused to wear it... for all you who don't know Tomm, he hates lotion of ANY kind.
Check out the beautiful cardinal! I think it was actually pissed at me for sitting near it's tree in my lounge chair because it was singing at first and then it took a forceful tone. As the hours dragged on it sounded a little hoarse and you could see his little tummy trembling from squawking for so long. It honestly stayed on that wire for like 3 hours. Cute little fella!
You didn't think that was a real alligator did you? It is a fake. But Tomm said on his way to work the other day he saw one right off of the sidewalk in our nieghborhood! It was eyeballing a group of ducks and hoping one would be a little snack! Yikes! Sometimes I feel like we are right in the middle of a nature show.

Twilight all night

Okay so it's no suprise that I am in love with the Twighlight book series. I admit I am one of those people who has crushes on characters in books. I should warn Tomm that if he hears me
say "Twilight" or "Edward" in my sleep not to be alarmed. It's such a great love story! So notice my night stand is fully stocked with everything I might need so I don't have to break my concentration! (... the sad thing is... I supplied myself subconsciously). I must've looked ridiculus when I loaded up my skirt with the goods for the journey for a quiet, cushy place. Ha ha!

"The waffle of insane greatness"

Thanks to Molly I have discovered the best waffle recipe. I made them for breakfast and Tomm loved them! He said they were the best waffles he has ever eaten and I agree! SO good! I thought I would share the love with all of you and publish it on my blog.

Waffle of insane greatness
3/4 C flour
1/4 C cornstarch
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 C whole or buttermilk (If you don't have either on hand you can sub equal parts milk and sourcream for buttermilk)
1/3 C oil
1 egg
1 1/2 Tbl sugar
3/4 tsp vanilla
In bowl mix flour through salt together. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Let stand for 30 minutes before cooking. You don't need to use non-stick spray because of the oil in the batter.
Yield: 4 waffles
I hope you guys enjoy them like I did! My sis-in-law is the best cook, I strive to be like her! Thanks for the recipe Molly, Love ya!
