Walk in the Park

I think I have mentioned before that Tomm and I love nature and animals (especially ANIMALS). Well we went to this really cool park and and took a walk together. It was so nice and pretty and romantic! I love the simple pleasures in life!
We only saw 1 animal but we had a feeling we were being watched from inside those thick bushes... heehee.
Busted! Here he is jacking the bird seed. ABORT!
I was looking for frogs and lizards.... didn't find any. A pretty view of the pond.

We made full circle and someone was back to sneaking....
and a-one-a and a-two-a
There he goes back up.
I think racoons are so cute! We see them a lot. We keep our distance cause they can be aggressive but they are fun to watch. They are little chubsters ....ALWAYS eating!

Cuddly Encounters

There are so many critters running around here in Florida.
I guess people aren't the only ones who love the warm weather.
Tomm was out working the other night and got these pictures of the racoons and kitties.

Taking it easy. Time for a little snack. The racoon chowin down a pile of "cat" food. You know that cat is soo pissed! He's like "Move over bub!... you do realize that food will give you bladder control problems, as it is not intended for YOUR digestional tract"
Eat-fest... now we are sitting in the pile. Not sharing. Cat is looking totally snubbed. Hee hee Just when cat thinks it's his turn.... the racoon has his buddies over. The NERVE!
It all started out with TWO cats and several racoons... One of the racoons got his face hissed in by black cat (MIA in the pics) for eating all the food. They just kindof tolerate eachother.

Then I was at the grocery store and I saw this little family out for a walk. I'm glad I had my camera.
Mom is not too happy about me being so close to her babies. She was wagging her tail at me and giving me the look. Time to back off.
SO cute!

Can you guys tell that we love animals?

Happy Birthday Kay!

My fabulous co-stylist at the VA hospital had a birthday. She blows my mind.... she's still working like a kid at age 83. That's what keeps people young! ... and I can't wait until I am 83 and can get away with everything! Kay will say something smart assed and everyone giggles and then I could say the exact same thing and we would hear crickets (a quiet cough, someone clears thier throat). Heehee it's quite baffling to me.
Kay is SO special to me! We have way too much fun with each other! She makes me laugh so hard. I learn so much from her and I am a better woman for knowing her.
XOXO
Showing off her present... we all pitched in and bought her a gold necklace. Me, Kay and Tony
Patty, our receptionist. She is soo sweet! Cutting the birthday cake.
Tony, our US Marine veteran, dressed for the nice weather.

I made this cake for her birthday and it was really good so I decided to post the recipe if anyone wants to make it. It's a chocolate cake with peanut butter chocolate frosting. Yum yum!

3 TBL vanilla
In a large bowl whisk together all dry ingredients. Add oil, coffee and milk then beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla and beat 2 minutes more( batter will be thin). Pour into greased 9x13 cake pan and bake for 30-40 minutes until toothpick or knife comes out clean.

Cream together cheese, butter and peanut butter then add all remaining ingredients. Store in fridge until cake is cooled and ready to frost. After frosting cake sprinkle candy around the sides or as you desire. Store cake in fridge if there is any left over.

I hope you enjoy it as much as we all did! XOXO

Girl Time In Jupiter

Me and a friend of mine spent some time in a town called Jupiter the other day. It is sooo pretty up there. It reminds me of the Keys a little bit. It's so laid back there and gorgeous!
My kinda place!
Anyway, there is this one beach up there that I love to go to (Nat and Steph... you've been there with me) but besides that I don't really know the area of Jupiter too well... except for the hospital (Tomm/had his appendix removed there a year ago :(.... so she being from Florida wanted to take me up there and show me around. I never pass up an opportunity to go to the beach with some company. It was a really pretty day and we had so much fun!

First stop. A little marina/bar. We got a drink and sat and watched the water and boats.
Our view
And we had some extra company. A very welcomed guest... I love kitties!
Kitty being flirtatious. Cute!

View of the lighthouse.
Then it was off to the beach.
As you can see it was pretty windy so we didn't go in the water.
Watching the guys parasurf. They make it look so easy!Getting ready to get back out there.
We just walked along the beach and talked. The sand felt so good under my feet. Ahhh!
Thank goodness for friends and sunshine!
