Fly By

I gave Tomm a gift certificate for an HOUR of flying for his birthday at Palm Beach Flight Training. So we decided to have a little time out for fun and went flying. It was so awesome! I can't believe how much we were able to see in an hour.
This flight was extra special because Tomm got to fly pretty much the whole time... including take off and landing! It was funny when we touched down to land; the plane started to slowly pull to the right and Tomm asks the flight instructor, "So, how do you keep it on the runway?" HAHA he wasn't used to controlling the rudders with his FEET. We all found out, that's where the real thing and his flight simulator game are different.
It reminded me of a cute story: When Tomm was a little kid; his sister's friends all had dirt bikes and Tomm wasn't tall enough to touch the ground to ride them. But that didn't stop him from trying... so he kept pestering the guys to let him go for a ride. As long as someone would catch the bike and help him stop then he could handle the rest.
That is so Tomm. Fearless!


I think flight lessons are definitely in Tomm's future.

As you know we recently bought a house. Well, we were able to fly over our new house and and see it from the air! ARE YOU SERIOUS? It was pretty amazing!
